Hi Nora,
OK! It's up to you.
I made an Chinese localization for myself and mark "Purchase On" item as "Dangerous! No touch!".
?
Kind regards,
Rlong

Hi Rlong,
I’m sorry but we are not going to change the date format for DVDpedia in the future. So you’ll either have to switch to CDpedia or change the dates manually before importing them. I suggest you use one of the Custom fields to map your purchase date field, this way you can still have a Summary field and keep on using DVDpedia.
Kind regards,
Nora

Hello Nora,
Thank you for your kindly help.
I make mapping from "Purchase date" to "summary" temporarily.
I hope next DVDpedia update, don't convert it into date format
but leaves them just as they are, because this convention problem
will cause entire database crash.
Kind regards,
Rlong

Hello Rlong,
The date format you're using -20041231- doesn't work with DVDpedia since the
program is set to convert all dates into date format and the way your dates
are written they can't be converted. This is actually a known bug with Apple
but has far as I know it has not been resolved yet.
However, since pretty much all your entries are musical, you might want to
consider switching to CDpedia instead. Mainly because the columns will be
correct - Composer, Artist, etc. - and also, CDpedia doesn't convert into
date format but leaves them just as they are and you'll be able to import
your collection without any trouble.
But I leave that up to you. If you want to continue using DVDpedia, just
take the info.xml file I sent you with the last email and put it into your
DVDpedia folder (replacing the one that is already in there). You should see
your library without any trouble then. When you add new entries from your
excel, be sure to add the purchase date to a field like custom one, where it
will stay a string or to add "/" to your dates in excel before importing
them. "2004/12/31".
Kind regards,
Nora
